The SecuReach Solution – Test Tracking
Test tracking is the building block which serves as the foundation of the entire SecuReach System.
Highlights of the SecuReach Test Tracking System:
If A Test Is Not Done
- When a test or referral is ordered, it is logged into the system.
- If test results are not returned to the office in a specified time, SecuReach will automatically send both an email and voice reminder to the patient.
- A daily alert will appear on the application home page for every staff member or physician who logs into the system, giving instant notification of tests not completed.
- Staff can click an entry on the daily alerts page and have immediate access to the history of the test. A secure message can then be sent to remind the patient of the importance of the test. An “office notes” section is available to keep track of all reminders – becoming a permanent record of each test.
When A Test Is Returned
- When a test returns to the office, the results can be dictated on the web site, voice over IP, to be sent to the patient. Prerecorded “negative results” messages can be used to expedite this process. Additional follow-up is easily entered to assure further instructions are followed by the patient.
- The System then calls the patient to inform them that a message has been placed in their voicemail box. When the patient receives the message, they simply call the toll free number to get the results. Once received, calls are stopped and the test result is archived.
- Archived tests contain reminder calls, the original message, and when the patient accessed their voicemail box – critical if litigation arises – no more “he said/she said”.
- Any follow-up tests remain in a pending file until these instructions are also followed.
If A Patient Does Not Retrieve Message
- If the message is not retrieved in 14 days – another daily alert is generated to alert staff.
- Any letters sent to the patient or notes can be entered – physicians and staff can determine how much follow-up is adequate.
- After message is finally received, the entire record is archived – accessible at any time.
It cannot be overstated – the purpose of the SecuReach Tracking System is to not only protect the physician from malpractice cases from missed communications, but to also prevent further patient injury or death from occurring.
